I was incredibly nervous about getting behind the wheel and starting to learn to drive, but from the very beginning Scott was incredibly calm and reassuring, which really put me at ease and bolstered my confidence over time. He always explained things clearly, and was able to adapt and break things down to simplify them when I would overthink elements which were often very simple tasks.
Thanks to his patience and supportive approach, I passed my test first time with 3 minors. I would highly recommend Scott, and Hadley School of Motoring, to anyone looking to learn to drive, no matter your level or disposition.

Couldn’t recommend enough! I started my lessons with Scott back in September and he put me at ease straight away. He made me feel comfortable, no question was too much, I was able To get in contact with him about any worries I had at any time. I chose Hadley School because of it's reputation and Paul definitely went past my expectations. Not only did he teach me to drive to pass but he went above and beyond and taught me how to become a better driver with extra maneuvures. To make me comfortable enough to pass after my first go. In the past, I've had so many bad experiences with driving instructors so when I found Craig, it was such a relief! I passed my driving test first-time this morning (with only 3 minors) and am over the moon. I cannot thank Paul enough for his support throughout this journey. From the beginning he was very organised and committed to my growth as a driver. He monitored my progress, tracked my areas of improvement, and helped me overcome areas of weaknesses. He was always on top of things, arriving early to each lesson, and made booking lessons easy. In terms of his teaching style, he is warm, patient, encouraging, and very clear with instruction. Paul has been a revelation for me.
When I first started, I was quite an intense and anxious driver. I was also worried about being too old to pass convincingly. He gradually taught me to become a good driver, and I passed first time with 2 minors. Thanks a lot Paul 💚

Craig is honestly the best driving instructor i could’ve asked for. He is extremely friendly but firm when needed. Always punctual, professional, patient and offered knowledgeable advice no matter how many times you needed to hear it. You could have both silly and stern conversations with Craig, it was the balance you needed to have an amazing driving journey. I couldn’t recommend more.

I passed my driving test today and I can't say thank you.enough to Paul. It's such a fruitful and helpful learning experience with Paul and he has been gentle, firm, consistent and clear from day one. He's not only. teaching for his students to pass the exam but more importantly teaching how to be a safe, considerate and. responsible driver. His teaching style is very professional and systematic. There's a good summary. after each lesson about what are the things to be improved and at the beginning of next lesson there'll be a recap of the things for practice in that lesson and there's a constant assessing where all the relevant skills are. I took away with me very useful things every lesson and became better and more confident at driving by applying all the things I learned from Paul. Up to the point of the test this morning, I felt I'm ready to go and luckily I passed with one minor mistake. I highly recommend Paul to anyone who would like to learn driving. He knows his stuff really well.

Not only did Scott care about my driving technique and confidence with it, he took the time to understand my relationship with driving when it came to my mindset. Passed first time with Hadley. From my first lessons back in February, through to passing in August with just 3 minors. I cannot fault Hadley for their professionalism and guidance to their students. My instructor Craig was fantastic. As experienced as they come, being an ex-examiner and knowing all the specific wordings that they use during the practical test really helped. It made me feel so much more confident when my test came around as I knew exactly what to expect. Everything from the app for lesson gaps and driving progress, down to the book they give you on your first lesson. It was all incredibly helpful and made the journey of learning to drive so much better. Extremely grateful to Craig and his patience and confidence in me. Going to miss our lessons together! I genuinely cannot thank Hadley School of Motoring - and especially Paul - enough for helping me pass my driving test first time with only one minor!
At 28 years old, I had put off learning to drive for years due to fear and anxiety. The idea of getting behind the wheel felt completely overwhelming, and honestly, neither my family, friends nor even I believed the day would come when I'd be a licensed driver.
But thanks to Paul, that day finally came - and it came with confidence.
Paul is the most patient, calm and encouraging instructor I could have hoped for. He created a safe and supportive learning environment where I never felt judged, only supported. His belief in me helped me believe in myself, and he turned something that once terrified me into something I now feel proud and capable of doing.
If you're looking for an instructor who truly cares and knows how to bring out the best in you, I couldn't recommend Paul and Hadley School of Motoring more highly.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hadley driving school and especially Scott my instructor. I was a really nervous driver at the start, but Scott is so calm and supportive in your lessons it makes it a million times easier. I have Just past my driving test on Tuesday with Mike who was teaching me. I cannot recommend Mike enough. After having a few teachers before, Mike was definitely the best. Jack is simply a top class driving instructor. I'm a 22 year old guy and it takes a lot to get me out of bed in the morning, but when you have a teacher like Jack you can't help but look forward to each next lesson even at the crack of dawn (6.30am on most occasions!!!). Not only is he patient and incredibly well knowledgeable in the ins and outs of learning to drive, he's down to earth, wonderful conversation and overall a fantastic friend to take a relaxing drive with. In the 5 or so months we spent driving together I never once felt an ounce of pressure or frustration from Jack, he easily recognised all the areas I was comfortable with and those that I had to improve, adjusting each lesson to tailor to these flaws. I passed my test today first time with only 3 minors and I couldn't be more happy. The only downside being I'll miss the 90 minutes of driving to and around Borehamwood each week with such a brilliant instructor. Thank you Jack, I seriously, seriously couldn't have done it without you.

Over 8 weeks I had the pleasure of taking lessons with Jack from HSM. First, it was convenient to make the connection to Hadley´s. I contacted them via website, email, and phone and the response was fast. You can be assured of good customer service. Jack is a very patient instructor which is what I believe learners need most. He takes his time to go over issues till there is understanding and good replication of the concepts. Passed my test first time because of this. Before I began my driving lessons I was extremely apprehensive and wasn’t sure about learning to drive at all! However, after the first couple of lessons with Mike, I felt completely at ease and I enjoyed the lessons so much from the very first one. He was calm and extremely patient and every drive was so much fun. I found it especially helpful how we didn’t just stick to Borehamwood( where the test centre was) and we ventured out to other areas along with the motorway! This has made me a much more confident driver and I will miss the lessons very much. I’d recommend this motor school to anyone.

Learning to drive with Hadley SoM with my driving instructor Paul was a breath of fresh air!! After having lessons with a previous instructor, thinking I could drive I took my test twice and failed. Paul came to my rescue and taught me a whole new approach to driving. Not just learning to pass but to be a confident and safe driver after this I took my test and passed with just 3 minor driving faults.
